1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using CantoLingo ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
CantoLingo provides AI-powered translation services from Cantonese to English, specifically designed for business and professional communication. The Service includes translation history, customization options, and various subscription plans.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscription and Payment
CantoLingo offers Free, Professional, and Business subscription plans. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred. Failure to pay may result in service suspension or termination.
5. Translation Accuracy Disclaimer
While we strive to provide accurate translations, CantoLingo uses AI technology which may produce errors or inaccuracies. Translations are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Users are responsible for verifying the accuracy of translations, especially for critical business communications, legal documents, or medical content.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to translate illegal content, hate speech, harassment, spam, or any content that violates applicable laws or regulations. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content that violates this policy.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by CantoLingo and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your translations remain your property, but you grant us a license to process and store them to provide the Service.
8. Data Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Users may opt out of translation storage using the "Do not store" feature for sensitive content.
9. Limitation of Liability
CantoLingo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to translation errors, data loss, or business interruption.
10. Refunds and Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis as described in our Refund Policy. No refunds are provided for partial months or unused character quotas.
11. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part thereof at any time with or without notice. We may also modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong.
